What to expect
Your journey in Toastmasters begins with a single club visit. Toastmasters International has over 16 thousand clubs around the world and each club provides a supportive and positive learning environment. Keep in mind that each club has its own unique culture that makes it different from others. Check videos below to learn more.

Here is what to expect when visiting West Seattle Toastmasters Club 832:

We meet twice a month (1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month) via Zoom and start promptly at 6:30 pm.

Each meeting has prepared speeches by inspiring speakers.

Each speech has an evaluator to receive feedback.

We practice everyone's favorite, Table Topics, also known as impromptu speaking. Guests are welcome to participate!

After the meeting, everyone is welcome to stay for "post-toasties", a club social tradition to get to know each other better.

Our meetings always start and end on time!

Quick facts when visiting our club for the first time
Where and how often does your club meet?
We are located in the heart of West Seattle, but we're currently meeting online on Zoom until further notice. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, except holidays. Check the calendar at the bottom of the page for our latest schedule.
Do I need to contact your club before attending?
Yes, please send an email to @ wstoastmasters832@gmail.com to receive a Zoom link to attend the meeting.

Am I required to speak at a club meeting?
No. You are not obligated to speak when visiting a club. You may simply observe if you wish.
How long does a club meeting last?
Our club meetings last from 6:30pm to 8pm. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early as we always start on time.
Do I need to bring anything to a club meeting?
No. You are not required to bring anything to a meeting.
Can anyone become a member?
As long as you are at least 18 years old, you can join Toastmasters.
What happens when I join the club after my visit?
You will be assigned a Mentor to guide you through your club and Toastmasters experience.
