Become the Speaker and Leader you want to be!
At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking frequently to groups, practicing, and working with others in a supportive environment. West Seattle Club 832 consists of approximately 40 diverse members who participate in club meetings twice a month. See ABOUT US for additional information about our club.
During a Toastmaster meeting, club members perform the meeting ROLES. For example, typically three members present speech projects using the Toastmaster International Communication and Leadership program manuals. Projects include topics as speech organization, using your voice, body language and hand gestures. In addition, you will have an opportunity to inspire or persuade the audience. The goal is to build upon these skills and integrate each piece into a successful speech. Members provide each other with positive and constructive feedback and evaluation. Following the speaker section, a Table-Topics Master provides the remaining club members an opportunity to participate in a one-minute impromptu speech.

Toastmasters and Leadership
Leadership takes practice and develops over time. In Toastmasters, members build leadership skills by organizing and conducting meetings and by motivating others to help them. Club leadership ROLES and a leadership development program provide opportunities to learn and practice.
